Stephanie Caudell

Head Girls Basketball Coach – Sonoraville High School (2005–Present)

Since the doors of Sonoraville High School first opened in 2005, Coach Stephanie Caudell has been the heart and soul of the girls basketball program. Over nearly two decades, she has built a powerhouse program defined by consistency, toughness, and excellence.

Under her leadership, the Lady Phoenix have captured 7 Region Championships, made 13 consecutive State Tournament appearances, and reached the Sweet 16 seven times, the Elite 8 four times, and the Final 4 once. She has amassed an impressive 343 career wins, earning Northwest Georgia Tip-Off Club Coach of the Year honors in 2012–13, 2022–23, and 2023–25.

Beyond the hardwood, Coach Caudell has made her mark in other arenas as well. She coached tennis at Gordon Central for three years and has competed in both USTA and ALTA tennis, helping lead one ALTA team to a league championship and another USTA team to both state and sectional titles.

In addition to her coaching success, Stephanie serves her school as a dedicated counselor, supporting students both on and off the court. She is married to Kim Turner, and together they are deeply rooted in the Sonoraville and Gordon County community.

Stephanie Caudell’s impact on student-athletes goes far beyond the scoreboard — she is a leader, mentor, and champion in every sense of the word.
