Amber Wilson Robbins
Gordon Central High School, Class of 2004
Amber Wilson Robbins left an unforgettable legacy at Gordon Central High School, where she excelled in both basketball and track and field from 2000 to 2004. A four-year letterman on the basketball court, she was named Best Defensive Player in 2004 — but it was on the track where Amber truly soared.
A dominant hurdler, Amber was a two-time AAAA State Champion in the 300-meter hurdles (2003 and 2004) and a three-time Region Champion in both the 100 and 300 hurdles. To this day, she still holds Gordon Central school records in both hurdle events.
Amber continued her track career at Georgia Southern University, where she earned All-Conference honors three years in a row. She etched her name into the program’s record books, ranking among the top three in school history in the high jump, 400m, 60m hurdles, 100m hurdles, and 400m hurdles. She also helped set the school record in the 4×750 shuttle hurdle relay and contributed to a Southern Conference team championship.
Amber now lives a full and busy life as a wife and mom. She is married to Whit Robbins, and they are proud parents to Brady, Brett, and Bailey.
